Contrasting Interiors

One of my favorite ways finish the  interior of a bookcase or cupboard is with a contrasting color. This is a great way to set-off items on display or pull the color of the room onto the furnishings.

A great look for kitchen cabinets.
A favorite color combo, white and sea green.

A pretty, pale blue bookcase interior pulls in the color of the dining chairs.

The pale green of the beadboard back and shelf interior makes me think mint juleps. (via Martha O’Hara Interiors)

The color contrast on this bookcase really stands out without any books. With such a great blue , I can see why they left it empty. (via Anna Milnikova Interiors

Of course I have to include our Signature bookcase in this post, too...

What do you think of including that pop of color inside a cabinet or bookcase? Love it or leave? Let me know.

Be inspired,
